GRANDIOSE AND SPECTACULAR RECORD-BREAKING FESTIVALS, with over 12,000 RELIEVES dressed in their finest attire parading before your eyes, are the most participatory Moors and Christians Festivals in existence. In Villena, fourteen troupes parade each year, seven Moorish and seven Christian, filling our streets with a joyful explosion of color, pageantry, special squads, floats, pasodobles, and Moorish and Christian marches performed by tireless live bands for five days, from September 5th to 9th.
2 nights: September 4-6.
September 4 - Arrival and check-in at the accommodation.
September 5 - VILLENA "BIG DAY".
11:00 Walk around the Castle, Rabal neighborhood, Plaza, and Archdiocesan Church of Santiago.
12:00 Opening Ceremony in Plaza de Santiago + Parade of Music Bands with the Pasodoble Festival.
2:00 PM Lunch.
4:00 PM Reserved seat to watch the spectacular Moors and Christians Parade.
Hotel/Tourist Accommodation.
September 6.
11:00 Visit to the Visitor Reception Center and exterior of the Castle.
12:00 PM Moorish Embassy to the Christian Embassy at the Castle.
