We will explore the easternmost towns of the Barony, a subregion of Camp de Morvedre.
A tourist train will take us to the Monastery of Santo Espíritu, in the town of Gilet, in the heart of the Sierra Calderona. In this 14th-century monastery, we will be shown its cloister and guesthouse. The monastery was founded by María de Luna, wife of Martin I of Aragon, following the pacification of Sicily.
Afterwards, a tourist train will take us to Albalat dels Tarongers to see the exterior of its palace, known as Casa dels Blanes. It is a solid fortified manor house, although it was probably built on older buildings, as evident Roman remains have been found.
We will continue to Petrés, where we will visit the 18th-century Aljub, its castle, and the 16th-century Church of Sant Jaume.
We will have free time to visit the bars, and if they are open, the bakery and butcher shop.
