In the Middle Ages, the devil was present in almost every place and city in Europe. Thousands of accusations and trials by the Holy Office for witchcraft, sorcery, and superstitious practices offer us a panorama filled with supernatural and magical phenomena, where witches, sorceresses, poisoners, sorcerers, healers, necromancers, and astrologers are the main protagonists of this invisible world contrary to faith.
Witch hunts were rampant throughout Europe, and many people accused of these crimes against God died mercilessly in the flames. In Spain, amid the persecution of converted Jews and heretics by the Inquisition of the Catholic Monarchs, things were different than in Europe. And specifically in Valencia, where rather than accusations of witchcraft, we witnessed crimes and trials for "meddlers" and "fetillers."
