The XIV edition of Early Music Morella, entitled Carminis, explores the universe of song in its broadest sense, encompassing medieval, renaissance and early baroque repertoires. It focuses on European monody and troubadour lyric, including troubadours, troubadours, Minnesänger and Galician-Portuguese lyric. The cantigas of Alfonso X and religious repertoires such as the Laudario di Cortona or the Carmina Burana also stand out. The Renaissance brought a polyphonic expansion with popular and courtly genres. This year Palestrina and the millennium of Montserrat are commemorated. The festival offers concerts, courses, workshops and social and inclusive activities.
