Can you imagine spending an evening gazing at the sky and the stars in the heart of the countryside, accompanied by a fine wine and a dinner featuring traditional local cuisine? We’re offering you a unique experience for the evening of 1 August: a ‘star tasting’.
What does the visit include?
- At 7.00 pm, we’ll welcome you to our premises in the winery courtyard.
- We’ll take a stroll around the estate, learning about the Nodus family and the property, whilst enjoying a wine tasting accompanied by a light appetiser of local produce. We’ll also visit the winery to discover how our wines are made.
- We’ll enjoy a delicious dinner al fresco or in our 8 Encinas gastrovino lounge (weather permitting).
- Once dinner is over, the stargazing session will begin. We’ll be joined by a team of expert astronomers, who will first give an introductory talk on the basics of astronomy and the celestial bodies we’ll be able to observe that night – and then the magic begins! We’ll take a tour of the night sky using laser pointers, learning to recognise the most important celestial bodies and constellations of the summer sky, whilst discovering interesting facts and mythology. There will also be an astronomical observation session using telescopes, during which we will observe the crescent Moon, planets, double stars, star clusters, nebulae, galaxies and so on, explaining the celestial bodies we are observing and answering any questions from those present.
The little ones are more than welcome at our winery; they too can visit to learn about and enjoy wine culture (alcohol-free, of course), and we’re sure they’ll love the night-time stargazing activity we’ve organised!
